Travelling by train to the French Alps is now the journey of choice for thousands of skiers and boarders every season. Convenient, easy and great value - the Snow Train transports you to the heart of the slopes in complete comfort and great time. Because you arrive first thing on Saturday and depart last thing the following Saturday, the Snow Train gives you maximum time on the slopes.

French ski areas and resorts served by the Snow Train
The Snow Train runs from London St Pancras and Ebbsfleet International, Kent, delivering skiers to four key ski areas in the French Alps: Les Trois Vallées, Paradiski, Mont Blanc and Espace Killy.

The resorts in these areas include:

  • Courchevel
  • Val d'Isère
  • Les Arcs
  • Tignes
  • Meribel
  • Val Thorens
  • Megève
  • Les Allions
  • Combloux
The Snow Train stops at six French stations, offering easy connections from: Chambéry, Albertville, Moûtiers, Aime la Plagne, Landry, Bourg St Maurice.

Accommodation on the Snow Train
There is comfortable, flat-bed sleeping accommodation on all Snow Trains.

Disco carriage
In its own separate, sound-proofed carriage, this legendary all-nighter is a must for party people. You can bring your own drinks too.

Storing equipment on the Snow Train
There is no charge for carrying your skis or boards in our spacious ski locker.

Your Snow Train experience will start with a Eurostar journey from the newly refurbished St Pancras Station in London, or the brand new Ebbsfleet International station just off the A2/M25 in Kent. You'll arrive at the Gare du Nord in the centre of Paris, and simply change platforms to board the overnight Snow Train to travel to the heart of the French Alps.

You'll depart on a Friday evening, and arrive early Saturday morning, ready to put in some time on the slopes. On the last day of your holiday, you can hit the slopes again and still have plenty of time to catch the Saturday evening departure.

Restful sleep or a night in the bar?
On board, relax for the evening in your couchette compartment or head to the bar and disco carriage in the centre of the train. This soundproofed carriage comes complete with its own DJ.

The couchette compartments sleep up to 6 passengers, and have seats that convert into bunk style flat beds for a great nights sleep – no need to sit upright throughout your journey. There are toilets and washrooms at the end of each compartment.

You'll also be accompanied by Rail Europe’s own bilingual travel supervisors, who will help at check-in, let you know before you reach your station stop, and are available throughout your journey.

The Snow Train service is completely non-smoking
