The Raymond Blanc Cookery School
This cookery school is for everyone who has a passion for food and wishes to have fun preparing it. In fact, fun is the word most often used by the cookery school students to describe their one, two or four days at the School.
Any concerns you may have about the level of cooking skills required are immediately dispelled by the informality of the environment and the realisation that the only qualifications needed are a love of food and the desire to learn about cooking. At the hands of their experienced chefs, the complete novice through to the experienced enthusiast will learn not only the secrets of producing the finest food, but the reasons behind those secrets.
The cookery courses provide a hands-on opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a practical and supportive learning environment, as well as being a holiday in the most luxurious and beautiful surroundings and a chance to make new friends. You will leave Le Manoir with new-found confidence and enthusiasm, impatient to return to your own kitchen to experiment with your skills.
Cookery Courses
One, two or four days at the Raymond Blanc Cookery School will nurture your natural love of food and provide you with the skills you need to translate this love into beautiful and imaginative cuisine.
Choose the length of your course, from a range of one, two and four day courses, taking in the selection and preparation of a wide range of foods...
Or decide on a specialised course, in order to create the perfect dinner for your party, update your repertoire with a little Fusion cooking or create exciting dishes packed with perfectly balanced nutritional goodness.

Culinary Tours in Exotic Locations
A Taste of India - Culinary Tour with The Imaginative Traveller
A culinary tour of this amazing country. Join us for a veritable feast of a tour, as we journey from bustling Dehli to tranquil Goa. We begin by visiting the amazing Taj Mahal, continue to the towns and palaces of Rajasthan, experience the bustling modern city of Mumbai, and finish on Goa’s beautiful beaches. Along the way we will discover many facets of Indian culture, but our focus will always be on the country’s delicious food. We will enjoy unique opportunities to sample a wealth of traditional delicacies, from the sublime vegetarian cuisine of Jaipur to the spicy seafood of the coast. These dishes will often be demonstrated by the experts - local women in their homes, and even on one occasion by a Rajasthani princess.
A Taste of Thailand - Culinary Tour with The Imaginative Traveller
We begin by joining the locals at a restaurant where one of Bangkok’s most colourful characters, ‘Mama’, slaves over her wok. Be prepared for a sensory overload, with fish steaming, vegetables exploding in to flames and Bangkok’s colourful street life right outside. Later, we will start to hone our culinary skills as we visit a local market with a chef from the world-renowned Blue Elephant restaurant. In Chiang Mai we taste the traditional Northern cuisine and enjoy a full day cooking class. We tour the Grand Palace and temples of Bangkok, stay in a local village, ride an elephant, and even find time for a little relaxation.
A Taste of Vietnam - Culinary Tour with The Imaginative Traveller
There is more to Vietnamese food than seafood and crisp fresh vegetables, delicately flavored with herbs and spices. The Vietnamese are very proud of the way their food is prepared, and we will be in the thick of the action as often as possible, buying our ingredients from a range of sources. These might be the small rowing boats that pull alongside our traditional junk in Halong Bay, or the bustling local markets found in every city. From north to south, this trip will give you a true taste of Vietnam.
Woks & Chopsticks - Culinary Tour of China with The Imaginative Traveller
The fantastic food is just one of the highlights of every trip to China. China is a vast area, and its diversity is fully reflected by its range of cultures and food. Chinese cuisine varies greatly depending on the area where it originated. The country can be divided into four different regions, and on this trip we visit them all, to savour the famous dishes and even learn to prepare some delicacies ourselves Established in 1991, The Imaginative Traveller has grown steadily to become one of the world's leading operators of small group adventure tours. Their aim has always been to provide exceptional travel experiences. They believe that travel should be stimulating, and that it should give you an authentic experience of a place. They want their travellers to relish the amazing diversity of countries and cultures the world has to offer.
