Drawing Experience Short Break

The Art of Drawing Experience Break with Warner Leisure Hotels.

Anybody can learn to draw, it is a process of observation and techniques, and once armed with the necessary knowledge your only limit is your imagination. That's the belief of our expert tutor Murray Ince a local artist from Totland Bay on the Isle of Wight.

On this course Murray will introduce you to various methods of drawing including graphite pencil, charcoal and chalk and pastel. He will show you how to simplify the form, and the methods of making a flat picture look three dimensional. He will pass on lots of tips and tricks of the trade to enable you to be able to draw, whether it is as a finished drawing, or, to enable you to go on and paint the picture. You will learn the differences between drawings, sketches, illustrations and studies and how to render them. He will show you how to approach drawing many subjects, how to create good compositions. He says you will learn to see as an artist and this in turn will open up a whole new world to you.

Our small classes - with never more than 12 mean that everyone gets plenty of individual tuition as well as the benefit of trying something in a great environment with like-minded people.

This two day course - NEW for Norton Grange, is suitable for novices and improvers and includes all materials required. If the weather permits, inspiration can be taken from a local beauty spot as one of the days will include a field trip and packed lunch!
